Might be working out in the morning come next week.
« on: February 28, 2012, 08:04:27 PM »
This not getting to sleep thing is really irritating me, so I think I'm going to move the heavy workout's/lifting to the morning's before going to work. This might work, it might not. But I know if I take that pre work out drink, I know it'll be worn off by the time I'm ready for bed. Plyometrics and Yoga I don't take it so I can do those after work and I'll probably save Ab ripper x until after work, not sure on that one. But I think I'm going to try that for next week, that is if I can get my butt outta bed at 4 or 4:30 am. We'll see....

getting out of bed at 4am is a real challenge, probably the hardest ive had to do in my whole life as far as mental determination. I've only been able to do it twice out of 8 days, even in the 4 o clock hour. One day was 4:45 the next day was 4:50AM. I'll be awake at 4:15AM but get up and lay back down repeatedly lol.

Just make sure you have enough calories inside you to workout that early, it will take a lot of strength & energy to push hard that early in the morning. I know that from experience lol...

If you are dealing with sleeping related problems then you should wake up early in the morning. Go for exercise & yoga in the morning. Have enough work out so that you would be enough tired till Night. You should drink a glass of warm milk.

I started working out in the morning as well as I've discovered that working out in the evenings tends to keep me awake longer, and I'm an insomniac as it is, lol.  :D

I definitely agree that if you are having problems sleeping that working out in the morning may be best for you! I work out in the evenings but it has never affected my sleep.

I prefer to work out in the mornings as it helps me to wake up and get moving. I get up typically between 4:30 and 5 to start my day. I eat a piece of fruit before I do 6 miles on the stationary bike. Afterwards, I feel more alert and I have a busy schedule, homeschooling 6 of my kids plus a 3 year old at home. I take time to cook some barley and serve barley and raisins to my kids for breakfast before two of them head out the door to the school bus. Then, I do a work out video for an hour and if the kids want they can do it with me and it counts towards their PE requirement. The rest of the day is math, reading, writing, history science, music, art and Spanish and some lunch somewhere in the middle. I usually keep it simple, whole wheat bread with avocado, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and sometimes monterey jack cheese. There really isn't time in the day to work out later, and I get so tired by evening that I really don't even feel like it. I try to be in bed by 9 every night since I have to get up early.

I commend you for being able to homeschool your children, its good but is also very exhausting on the teacher/parent and the fact you homeschool 6 is amazing!

Waking up so early to train would be too stressful for me and my performance wouldn't be optimal at that time. The best time to train for me personally is late in the afternoon around 4-5pm. Everyone is different, you should do what feels best and suits your schedule.

I think the main thing with waking up early has to do with setting a schedule. You have to make sure you have enough discipline to go to bed at a certain hour. When I couldnt get out of bed in the mornings I realized that I was going to bed at any hour and expecting to just hop up and be ready to go.

Hello,
waking so early is such a big thing for those people who want to just lay down in the bed.
I also one of them freak but really i want to change this habit.
