Getting back to the gym after time off
« on: October 11, 2012, 06:08:38 PM »
I really let my gym routine go over the summer! With the kids home from school, we were out and about and I just didn't make time for the gym. I'm paying for it now. I have lost my motivation and I am really having trouble getting back into the swing of things. Any advice on how to kick myself into gear?

I have a closed facebook accountability group you can request to join at this link- http://www.facebook.com/groups/164149513718851/ . We have about 16 members and we all try to post daily to keep each other encouraged. Outside of that you need to have a real solid goal for why you want to get back into shape. Something that is meaningful not just 'I wanna look hot in this swimsuit'. Something more like 'I want to be able to see my kids grow up' things like that. Stuff that will really be long lasting and something you have to pull from deep inside yourself.

The longer you leave it the harder it will be to motivate yourself. Take action now and you will soon get back into the swing of things and you may even enjoy it. Just go to the gym, that is the best advice I can give you.

I find that you have to have a big enough 'why' or 'goal' to continue despite of what comes up in your life. Im trying to find a why thats big enough to keep me motivated in working out. Find out what gives you enough motivation to work out no matter what.

I think it is the best time to come back again in gym and start different routine to become fit and burn your belly fats.
