Favourite exercise?
« on: October 10, 2012, 07:06:02 AM »
My favourite exercise is the deadlift. The deadlift is one of the most challenging exercises in weight training but it is also the most rewarding. The deadlift works your whole body and the hormonal response is huge. I've been deadlifting for 5 years now and I still enjoy it.

What is your favourite exercise?

I enjoy walking the most. Due to health conditions (asthma and degenerative disc issues) walking seems to help both my lungs and my lower back.  ;D

right now my favorite is Bench Press, Barbell Row, Bicep Curl (preacher style) and deadlifts. Not in that order though but those are my favorites :)

If I had to pick one exercise to do for the rest of my life it would be deadlifts. My other favourites are incline push ups (feet elevated) and pull ups. I do pull up variations 2-3 x per week.

My favorite exercise is the stationary bike because it only takes 15 minutes for me to complete my 6 miles and I can feel the stretch in my back and legs and it keeps me from gaining weight. Also, is shows how many calories I burn per mile and so if I eat something I should not, I hit the bike and burn that amount of calories. The bike is my equalizer, sort of.

Exercising to burn off the calories you eat is a poor means of weight control in the long term and it's a lot of effort. The studies are showing exercise doesn't play a significant role in weight loss, it's all about what you eat! I doubt 15 minutes on your stationary bike will burn a lot of calories, unless you are doing interval sprints.

I really like bench pressing. It could be because I have been doing it since my high school football-playing days. It is the main lift to determine how macho you are. Haha.

It is a great chest and tricep workout, while also engaging your core by balancing the big weight. I think it is push ups on steroids, no pun intended. Hahaha.

My favorite exercises are pushups and jogging. Something about jogging just really calms me and pushups have really bulked my arms up a bit.

My favorite exercise is running. Honestly, it's just because it's easy, it's freeing, and it feels SO good afterward. My entire body might be like jello, but it feels GREAT!

My favorite exercise is yoga. Yoga is not only for relaxation or peace of mind but is also viewed as a system for self treatment. According to the philosophy and practice of yoga, disease is a result of unhealthy life style.
