Day 5 of from the bench!

Meals

calories: 2000

protein: 125g

carb: 400g

Its 4PM I’m still not done eating for the day.

Work:

Sunday(first and last day off for today)

So my one day off today. I usually have Sunday & Monday off, however we recently had someone resign from where I work. So today is my day to cover that shift. Its okay though, overtime riiight? :)

Workout: Day5 of  Starting Strength(Classic)   

Day 5 of SS( 12/11/11): So the workout for today was Squats, Overhead Press, Power Clean. This was a pretty challenging workout. In some areas I did fine. In other areas I was struggling! Read below!  This information is typed in a document file while im working out so I can keep memory fresh.

SQUAT INFORMATION BELOW:

Squats, completed working sets, 3 sets of 5 reps @ 105lbs.
Last set- was struggling to finish, my back felt like it was tweaking some.
Hopefully its not gonna be sore for days after this now.

 

OVERHEAD PRESS INFORMATION BELOW:

3 working sets, 5 reps each set.

set 1- initially struggled to get the bar above my waiste into powerclean and
overhead press it.
rested 10 seconds and then knew i had to explosive movement it up to get
above my waist and
above my head.
 Which worked. Completed set 1.
Set 2- completed set 2, did explosive movement to get above head. was
struggling at reps
3,4,5 but managed
 to finish set 2.
Set 3- Pshyced myself up for this last exercise. Which included talking to myself,
saying i could do it!
 Struggled on reps 4 & 5 . Set 3 completed

POWERCLEAN INFORMATION BELOW:

Working sets- 5 sets of 3 @ 110lbs, was unable to do the first rep. The weight
was too heavy i actually
 almost dropped it. Lowered down to 100lbs.
Set 1- 3 reps, completed at 100lbs
Set 2- 3 reps, completed at 100lbs
Set 3- 3 reps, completed at 100lbs, put the gloves on at this point, hands
were getting blisters
Set 4- Did 1 set, was unable to do any more. I dunno if my strength/stamina gave
out or what. Rested a
 few seconds. Tried again, Failure. Rested again, managed to finish off 3 more reps.
Which makes 4 reps in this 3 rep set(4)
Set 5- Since i did 1 extra rep in set 4, I've got 2 reps left here to go. Finished
2 reps in this set.
Set 5 completed. My back feels a little tweaked but i'm finished with this workout for today!

So after I finished this workout I did a few minutes of X2 Recovery & Mobility from P90X2. I did about 15 minutes of the 45 minute workout. Only did the lower leg sections with the foam roller but im defiantly looking forward to doing this whole workout on my rest/ days off to stretch out. I had already done my main workout above but i wanted to at least test this p90x2 workout out a bit :)
