30 Day Challenge:

Waking up at 4 am

DAY

Hey guys,

This is my pre day 1 post of my new 30 day challenge I’ve set for myself.  There is a couple of reasons I’ve wanted to start this challenge. Now based on the title either you think it’s an awesome idea so you can get more stuff done in the morning before work/school, or you think I’m mad. Either way you made it to the post so continue reading!

Okay moving on,

Some of the main reasons I want to do this is because I have a tight schedule when I’m working. It usually goes something like this.

6AM -Wake up

6-7AM- Prep for work(shower/eat)

7:15AM- Leave for Work

7:45AM-5:30PM- Shift starts/ends

6-6:30PM- Get home (relax 30 minutes)

7PM-Workout

8PM (prep for bed, take post workout drinks, blog post etc)

9PM-10PM Bedtime

Now, I dunno if it’s just me but that schedule seems to suck to me. I feel rushed in the mornings because now I cant seem to wake up before 6AM. I used to wake up at 5-5:30AM for a while. By the time I get home, I either need to be motivated to workout( C4 Helps a lot) or it just wont happen sometimes.  I’m 20 years old and still live at home(pay my share of rent thank you!) so if I try to workout past 7PM my mom preps for her sleep and wont let me workout since my workouts are loud due to weight changing.

So this leaves me with a new dilemma, workout before I prep for work by waking up 2 hours earlier than usual! So I’m going to give myself a 30 day challenge and see if its physically/humanly/ possibly without feeling crazy! Of course I’ll probably wake up at normal house when I’m off (Sunday & Monday), probably around 7-9AM to get a few extra hours. Other than that I plan to wake up at this time for 5 days a week for 30 days.  Starting tomorrow, or in about 7 hours i’ll be awake again!

I’ll do my best to post daily either after my workout or when I get home about the day including my workouts, energy levels, and productivity.  In my personal opinion;

Benefits of Waking up Early

  • More Productivity
  • Calmness as the world hasn’t started yet
  • Less work to be done after work when you get home
  • Get to see the sunrise!
Hopefully my new schedule will look like this
4AM- Wake up
4-4:30AM- Prep for workout, take C4, breakfast, etc
4:30-5:30AM- Workout
5:30AM-6:30AM- Prep for Work(shower, etc)
6-30AM- 7AM- (post on blog, spare time to do w/e)
7:15AM- Leave for work
7:45AM-5:30PM- Shift Starts/ Ends at work
6-6:30PM- Arrive Home
7PM: Eat Dinner!?
7-9PM(or10PM)- Free Time (Prep for Bed)
The list goes on for me, I just want to do my best in this challenge and see if it will work. If anyone is wanting to try something similar email me or send me a message here, via youtube, or direct email.  We’ll figure out a way to track ourselves via facebook or the forums.
Well with that being said, I’ll see you guys for day 1 back here!
Do your best, Stay Strong & Brave!
